I love the Enlightenment/Victorian era settings. Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell is an excellent book set in the period. The Egyptian is a great Finnish book. I’d love recommendations on other that have good English translations as my Finnish is poor.

As far as I'm aware, Finnish literature seems to be quite sparse on that time period, though I'm not well informed on the topic at all. The Seven Brothers and Unkown Soldier are perhaps some of the most well known Finnish novels, but I haven't read the first and found the second to be incredibly tedious.
All of the Moomin books are pretty neat though, they're very, very different from the rest of the Finnish literature that's stayed in people's minds.
