There is so much encrypted crap, and the fakes to deal with... I really loved it but last decade hardly using it.

I used to do a lot on usenet but after uni it started filling up with junk that at this point besides release announcements for projects, there really doesn't seem to be much discussion going on there.

Discussions? After early 90's it was all about binaries. I always laughed about getting all my movies for free from Time Warner's servers...

Nice to see that comp.infosystems.gemini is still going strong (for a newsgroup in 2025, at least).

Usenet — I miss usenet. It seems the free servers (AIOE, eternal september) have been down for some time, and sdf also lost its feed. Anyone have a recommendation for a server (free or not)?
