Thoughts, suggestions and complaints regarding the SpellBinding game

SpellBinding News — [gemini link] This is the next-gen spellbining via fornax. Try it -- it will become mainstreamed when I get the new server up (see more below) I've been dealing with life for a bit, and now am getting back to 'work'... Much to be done soon. My AWS server has been running very nicely, but ~$12 per month seems a little excessive, considering I am using maybe 1/100 of 1%... I can at least move to something around $5.00, which is easier to justify. I suppose I am being petty as...
Hit the test server, please! New Game — [gemini link] More than 20 people hit it yesterday, which helped me greatly! Several bugs eliminated, game fine-tuned! Thank you for your participation! Even if you don't play, a visit to the page above is much appreciated.
Beta SpellBinding — Maybe still alpha, because a lot of changes not thoroughly tested. Please try it, I need to get some hits to prove that it's working correctly. [gemini link] Much faster! I get less than 10uS, usually around 5uS!; Unicode names in certificates; State preservation and crash recovery; reworked parsing, processing, scoreboard sorting; New game reloading via SIGHUP; Many bug fixes PSK TLS Resumption Username sterilization
Alpha test: SpellBinding via Fornax Embedded Server! — A new, early version of SpellBinding application server (embedded Fornax)! Instant word count ratings, smaller, and better. [gemini link] This is a test, so please give it a shot and report any irregularities. The normal version of SpellBinding is running as usual. There is a lot of new tech here: No CGI -- a 35KB game with built-in server; No disk access; New in-memory user lookup; New instant scoreboard; Much faster processing time;...
Timeouts — I'm going to mention it here, even when I'm not sure whether this is a client or a server thing: Today playing spellbinding and wordo, I noticed all the clicks were strangely slow, so I took a look at my client's log, and I was seeing all the connections were ending in a timeout. Should the server send a connection close or something?
Timezone? — The new server's timezone is probably different than before? The puzzle switchover is happening at a different time and the Yesterday's link is going to the wrong day, at least initially.
New SpellBinding Server — I am happy to announce that, finally, SpellBinding and other games have a dedicated server. After moving the games from tilde to tilde I am looking forward to 100% uptime. Soft open to iron out any remaining issues [gemini link] Let me know if there are any dangling links or anything else ungodly.
BUCUBIC... wrong! I must've accidentally mis-spelt BICUBIC, which is also not in Merriam-Webster's dic. But I've spent enough time interpolating to let that gem slip.
Gah. Up part of the day, down again
Apologies... I am at the mercy of the people running the server... This is the third time I am scrambling to find hosting... I hopr team comes back up while I search for something better.
Down again? I have to find a more reliable hosting arrangement...
Back up, with a nice pangram.
Server down, or is it just me ? I can ssh into it but no gemini browsing...
Added suggested words... — From JB: EFFLLUENCE ALLOSAURUS QUORA ATHWART (I like that one!), SQUEE, KORA, CHOWED, BEDEW(ED/ING), DWEEB, BARRIO, BARBACOA, WAIN, INDIE, DINNED, DINNING, WEENIE, Cosy, biro... rejected as britishism. Concision as archaic. Nannied, daddie - not in dictionary.
KOJAK, keeping up the old TV shows Also, KOALAC*CK Adding COLLOCAL to the dictionary. It looks so wrong with that extra L, but it is legit while COLOCAL is not! Also, COLLOCATE has a different meaning than COLOCATE! Learn something every day.
BANACHEK But I think I meant BANACEK, for those who remember the show
DIPSHID
ASSATTACK
BOOBTWIST TITMITT ?
FUNCULO
SNOTMAW
BANANAVAG GONADBANG
KILLFILE
WOKEFOOL
CIBERPISS I suppose it should be with a Y, but it's not a word anyway...
