Howdy!

I'm Pastel de N4ta a.k.a. n4ta. People also call me n4, Pastel, Pasta, Nata. I go by he/him, but you can refer to me by any name or pronouns, as long as I know you're talking about me! I'm also from Portugal, which is pretty cool since it is the best country! :^)

I have been interested in computers since I was a kid. I've done mostly Web Development and Graphical Design, but every since I have branched off to everything computer related. I also do some music things sometimes. Nowadays, I am passionate about Linux, FLOSS things, privacy and cybersecurity.

I've been interacting with the big webspace for years now, experimenting with new web frameworks, constantly being barraged by information and innovation. This is - for the most part - positive objectively speaking, but it can be overwhelming at times: being replaced by AI, politics steering the world's direction south, you name it. So, sometimes you just need to settle down and relax a bit, in a place that you can call home.

That's why I find these two concepts so enticing.

The tildeverse represents the small web, every tilde being a cozy community, and protocols like Gopher or Gemini reduce information to just the necessary, minimalism if you will. The equivelent of going to a nice wooded cabin in the mountains with your friends after a long time in the city.

I'm still putting the few furniture I own in this metaphorical hut, but I hope that in the end it is worth it. Thank you for having me!
