I've finally managed to make gemini. After reading about it for many moons it is good to contribute myself

quick intro: I'm Olap who lives in Scotland, and I've been a Linux geek since 2.2! Hobbies include gaming (of course), reading (sci-fi and military history currently), music (metal, bagpipes, folk - in that order!), playing/learning various instruments and I'm something of a film buff too. I also enjoy rugby union, f1, the darts, snooker, sometimes the tennis - just not football it seems

I'm also quite enjoying the fediverse currently. Modding !scotland@lemmy.world and !rugbyunion@sh.itjust.works and can be found on @olap@mastodon.world too. Still getting used to Matrix, but I am @olap:glasgow.social and olap@bookwyrm.social too

Professionally I'm a fullstack software developer of 15 years full time experience, mostly web tech, so the tildeverse is something that excites me muchly

Yet to be seen if I can regularly write, but that is the plan
