When You Publicly Boast About Wanting to Violently Attack People (Even Colleagues) Finding a Job Will Prove Difficult

It's not a new problem, this was 20+ years ago:

The man we sued in September [1, 2] lost his job. He wrote about it. That he wanted (or still wants) to punch Bruce Perens is a documented fact [1, 2] and I never felt comfortable about him trying to get physically close to me (which he wanted).

Now that he openly associates with and works with a serial strangler of women - following him telling them to kill themselves - I can only rely on security at the UK High Court, where he faces claims of harassment (we sued him after he had lodged claims against myself and against my wife, alleging that writing about his behaviour is "slander" and in violation of his privacy).

I didn't choose to be in this position. Over the years he picked on many people whom he regarded "enemies" of his fake security agenda or simply his bosses, who turned down his fake security agenda. Threats were quietly being sent (who knows how many and to how many people). There are high-profile people out there who say they have legitimate legal claims against him, even going decades back.

As we'll explain some time next week, companies like Microsoft fancy using irrational and dangerous minds to do their "attack dog"-like activities. They'd lie to courts and plead insanity (a former colleague of the serial strangler of women, who worked at Microsoft, said prosecuting him would be hard due to his mental issues).

Dealing with "crazies" is something we got accustomed to, however arduous this can be. The people behind the SLAPPs have a past of addiction (even admission to support groups dealing with addiction) and psychological care. No group is exempted from the law though. It's just a "defence tactic" - not a very legitimate one but an excuse.

If there's a lesson to be learned here it is that corporations don't tend to act directly in this manner (they can lurk in the shadows while a dispensable/disposable law firm acts for lunatics who live with daddy or in some forest in another continent). They can use their own staff and various people who identify with them to upset and vex critics, even their entire families if that helps. █
