I just watched a movie called Blackberry about ... Blackberry. The rise and fall of a tech company type of comedy. Liked it. It seems that many of these stories are quite alike. Hackers loosing their culture to marketing and all goes down because of over confidence and hubris. Same thing with Nokia. Ploum wrote interesting insider stories about it recently. I link it in a comment.

Many companies endup like that, some founders exit before crash, some didn't. Outsource everything and lost control on product. Thanks for the link to Ploum , read him long time ago and completley forget. Palm also had a lot of potential with their latest Palm Life Drive even today, how much software exists for PalmOS its unbelivable and its all gone. · 4 months ago
