On December 10, Australia banned the use of social media by minors under the age of 16, becoming the first country in the world to take this measure. Knowing this, I ask an open question: Was Australia's decision right or wrong?
A) Right, limits should be placed on the use of social media by young people.
B) Wrong, it is a totally absurd measure.

Right, but the limit is wrong. I think the limit should be something like 9 or 10. Then it has a chance of being actually effective. Sure, some of them will find a way around it, but most wouldn't even try · 20 hours ago
Now educate like you would smoking or drink driving. Make the use of "social media" so socially repugnant that it's use dwindles and becomes a historical footnote. · 1 day ago
A. Social media is not just harmful, it's a deeply flawed way for humans to communicate. Of course the ban can be circumvented, but something had to be done and it's at least a step in the right direction. · 1 day ago
B, and as @z3r0 said, they'll find a way around it. Banning something from younger people has always been a surefire way to drive them towards it. · 1 day ago
A. social media networks need to be more regulated, even nationalized when broke rules or facilitate agressions on vulnerable people in name of rentability. Toxic spaces could be solved by reprograming functions but they only think on benefits, clearly is not a proper place to kids. Good decision. · 2 days ago
@z3r0, this. But also world is a self-balancing thing. It requires few generations to stable out social processes. · 2 days ago
