@five_over_four You must be living in a land of very customer-friendly ISPs 😂

Most ISPs I've used only did that charging you extra or didn't have that option at all, the worst part is that none of them supported IPv6 either — that's why I'm never letting go the one I have now. · 2 years ago

Usually you can request a public IP if they shove you behind a NAT. *Usually* it doesn't cost extra. · 2 years ago

Try to contact them, maybe yours is a niche case. It's a shame we aren't able to use Internet as it is designed to be used by some middleman. · 2 years ago

Maybe your new ISP doesn't provide you with externally reachable IP-address. I think it's actually quite rare these days. A absolutely adore my ISP for not only giving me such an address for no extra charge, but also for (almost) not filtering the traffic on the incoming ports. · 2 years ago
