Random update. Totally not my blog.

Benzo taper: I have started dissolving my benzos in alcohol (small amount). I can then dilute it and portion out the tiny amount I am tapering on far more successfully than trying to chop tiny 5mm tablets and weighing the crumbs. It's more consistent!

Paper Planner: I am happy in paper planner land. My diary is checked daily. I track what I need. It's a bit hybrid. I was tracking food, but I am sticking with an online service for that. Miles/distance, exercise type, frequency is on paper. Benzo taper and mood is on paper. As is addressbook, contacts, dates, times, appointments etc etc.

The planner is literally just a filofax. You can buy or print inserts. I've got tracking for mood and sport activities which is nice. No need for Strava! As for back

up, this is the backup! If you forget it, just use a bit of paper until you get home. I have my address book as a printable file. But I'm old enough to remember things like phone books and addresses by the telephone in the hallway, so to me keeping everything online (now I have decoupled it) is starting to feel weird. · 3 months ago

I was put on the benzondiazapine by a doctor. I have had support coming off it, but the prescribing doctor went "just stop, it'll be fine". To a patient on a not insignificant dose. Lunacy.

Anyway, these tablets are tiny and I'm almost done. But dropping to zero is really hard. 100% to 75% not bad. 20% to 10% to zero? Horrible territory. I just want done with it all.

But thank you all. · 3 months ago

looked up benzos. ok, so that’s valium and friends. that stuff is no cakewalk. unsolicited life advice: if in any way possible: stay away or try to get off for good. · 3 months ago

i don’t know what a benzo is and why one would dissolve it and mess with the dossage, but probably some kind of medication?

the paper planner stuff is exciting! did you start from a blank page or does it have printed dates and lists and things? how to backup? are you tracking daily todos (gum every day, take pills, idk) and if so, how? in a table or on a daily page? · 3 months ago
