- Words live and travel independently of the medium they are created in in a unique way. If you look at other forms of art: a sculpture is made of a particular material and is inseparable from that. Drawing makes use of all kinds pigments and dyes and pixels that set apart an oil painting from a watercolor from a digital drawing. The properties of those substances are apparent in the image. Music—has hundreds of different instruments.
- Locrian noticed the story linked below. A probably fake hyperliberal Twitter account inciting 130,000 unsuspecting followers, inviting mockery from conservatives for saying vile and racist things like >no Black person will be able to succeed in a merit-based system
- In my personal experience, a lot of hair-triggered people are ready to become willing subjects of mockery.
Technology and Free Software
- This time from AT&T. Sigh. At least they were responsive to my email and removed the block within a week. Still, there is zero reason to block my little mail server and this just exposes the problems with email blacklists. They can’t possibly get all of the spammers, and are frequently prone to false-positives. My prior commentary:
