●● Microsoft Windows = Daylight Savings Shutdown

Posted in Australia, Servers, Windows at 5:11 am by Dr. Roy Schestowitz

Summary: Australian shops are unable to process payments because the whole system runs Windows and there is a daylight savings shutdown

David Williams says that “NAB [National Australia Bank] has daylight savings shutdown”. According to his report, “the entire NAB systems – card transactions, Internet and telephone banking – were down.  The reason the operator gave was that they were down deliberately “for daylight savings.””
