I appreciate that John Dragoon, Novell’s CMO commented on my post about the company’s recent acquisitions. Had I read his blog earlier I probably would have had more insight.

It’s the same chorus all over again. They (Novell executives) chime in to have a new article produced which praises the company after being slammed by writers. It’s akin to policing publications about self.

Microsoft does this too by the way. We saw this just days ago in the Philippines when we listed similar examples from Australia and the UK (where even a free gift was offered by Microsoft for a journalist to receive in order to write a favourable article).
