I am appreciating waking up

earlier and earlier as the light

gets earlier and me more fully into

spring. I like to see the early morning

mist sit heavily in the trees and sink

low into the river, and then gradually

dissipate as the sun warms the

earth & air.

Walking in the woods yesterday,

I wondered where exactly the bears

hibernate? Are they burrowed deep

underground? or tucked in the

back of a rock care? I passed

a few such caves yesterday and

wondered, when might a bear come

walking out from its long slumber?

And very, very hungry...
