Is the analog an unrealistic hold out? Are we being too anachronistic?

I say this as I consider whether or not to save toward a new digital object--an e-ink tablet. Would this help me cope in the increasingly digital world? Am I holding on too much to paper, or not enough?

How much news (new information) does a human need?

What was it like with telegrams flitting about? Did it have the same feeling as emails rocketing back and forth?

Some days it feels like productivity is measured in how fast you can propel out a cascade of emails--like returning volleys in ping pong--how quickly can I get this out of my court and into theirs?

I don't wish to work in that world. I wish to collaboratively build something with others--owning it together, responsible together.
