The ugly of the Internet
rms talk
Not to be confused with free software advocacy, which on the contrary is immensely useful for society.
Examples of rms talk include:
- Unsollicited and lengthy talks about GNU Emacs
- Debates over which license is more free. the BSD license or the GPL.
What a pity that this is now commonly referred as "rms talk" which bears the name of
Richard Stallman, rms, the person who is at the origin of GNU and who started the Free Software movement.
I would like to take this occasion to say that i highly respect rms. Both his work as a software engineer and his free
software advocacy work are immensely useful for society.
