SlowServers: SLA (Service Level Agreement)
We don't currently have a formal SLA, but we plan on automatically crediting users for downtime exceeding a certain number of 9's.
Data loss
Our hosts do not have RAID 1. This is partly because the OpenBSD's RAID has some limitations that can make data corruption more likely than without RAID 1. Partly because RAID 1, intrinsically, can introduce more errors. And RAID 1 is no silver bullet regardless.
Extra drives also use more power. And drives tend to last a fairly long time as it is.
Nevertheless, we will give a 3 month service credit (in the form of longer hosting duration, not cash) for any servers that we lose data on. Hopefully, this makes it worth your while to redeploy the server from your own backups.
We may offer backups in the future, in one manner or another.
