Today, Thursday May 8th, 2025 I write from an x220 tablet running debian-12. Interesting in re-pursuing gemini.

And later, thinking about my always used duckduckgo and some bits I read about it using Bing for a good chunk of its results and not very transparently makes me want to stop using ol ddg.

So how to find things?

If software, like gemini here on sdf, which is amfora I guess, I did apt-cache search amfora, apt info amfora and that told me where to get the source code, github.

Lately I have been looking at source code first to debug problems or learn best practices/techniques in languages like php, python, ruby...

Today, Wednesday April 6th I write from a yurt off-grid so-to-speak taking a break from internet and such for a while but now reconnecting.

Logged into twitter because that's where a friend asked other friends for help finding a bamboo flute teacher/buddy.

Tried making a flute out of reeds but they were too skinny to make a "blade" to split the air into a pitch. So had to settle for different lengths/sizes being percussion instruments.
