irresponsible

So I think it's pretty irresponsible for me to be posting to gemini. I have enough other stuff to do, and most of that stuff is much more pressing than typing out this message. I am up for promotion this year and I should probably focus on my job rather than on something like gemini.

That said, finding your community online is also very important. I find it very sustaining to read about others' projects, and chat with them about what we're up to. There are benefits here that are non-negligible. Communities like the fediverse have very much improved my life, and I am hoping that gemini can do so as well.
