Midnight Pub

Hello world!

~gnuhack

Hello!

It's midnight in my time zone so it's a great time for the first post.

I've just discovered the small web. I am tired of the current state of the web and was looking for something like this. A place made by humans for humans, in which you can just chat and interact with people.

I love free (as in freedom) software, reading and video-games. My favourite piece of software is GNU Emacs, from which I am writing this post.

See you around!

~bartender, just a coke for me, thanks!

Howdy ~gnuhack, welcome to The Midnight!

~bartender? Just coffee as usual. Thanks. And whatever the newcomer fancies after the sugar-bubble thing, its on me.

A fellow emacser, how nice. I live in emacs for a big part of my workday, and in bash for the rest. I never got the hang of M-x shell or eshell or what not. However, in my ~/.emacs.d/init.el there is this line:

; 1993-02-01 --- started with emacs

It is the software that I have been using consistently for the longest time. Even longer than bash, because tcsh was all the rage back then :) Oh the nostalgia :)))

Cheers!
