About the highest audience I got in my career was with a Colonel level bureaucrat whom I was ushered in to see for some reason. He greeted me with "so your the god of XXX" where XXX named a software system for storing and searching law enforcement network traffic in real time. He identified himself to others as a Christian, but calling me a god of anything, even half jestingly, rubbed my intuition the wrong way. "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:" My intuition is that in a pattern sense, I was in bondage in Egypt, and now I am free in the promised land, and if I keep God's commandments*, he will allow me to stay here.
