For a couple years I followed the project, and I never actually wrote anything.

The Weight of the Modern Web

Every click to open a link brings scripts, trackers, and ever-expanding multimedia demands. With fast computers and gigabit connections might feel fast, but it is just a huge waste of resources.

Full of crappy AI-generated text and more and more ways to interact with AI it is becoming bitter for humans.

Static Sites: Are not a Solution

Just use static websites!

Is a common refrain, indeed they are fast resource-light, which is a good step in the right direction but they can still be full of tracking.

Giving gemini a shot

Gemini isn't a replacement for the entire World Wide Web, nor does it aim to be. Instead, it's a space for focused, clear communication, no tracking and no corporations.

It proves that sometimes, less truly is more.
