Tater Tot Hotdish

Ingredients

• 1 lb. lean ground beef
• 1/2 medium yellow onion diced
• 1 clove garlic minced
• 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
• 1 (15 oz.) can French style green beans drained (whole cut works as well)
• 1 (15 oz.) can corn drained
• 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
• 1 French onion soup mix powder packet (You're looking for about 1-2 servings of French onion soup essentially, if the packet is for instance 8 servings, use about a quarter of the packet)
• 1/2 cup water
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
• 2 lbs. frozen tater tots

Instructions

• Preheat oven to 375F.
• Lightly grease 9x13 inch baking dish. Set aside.
• Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.
• Add onions to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until onions are translucent.
• Add garlic and cook for an additional minute, stirring frequently.
• Mix cooked beef, corn, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, worcestershire sauce, and 1 cup of shredded cheese in bowl.
• Heat 1/2 cup of water and mix in French onion soup mix packet into water.
• Mix that heated 1/2 cup of water with French onion soup mix powder into ground beef mixture.
• Transfer ground beef mixture to the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly.
• Top with tater tots.
• Bake for 35-40 minutes or until tater tots are golden brown.
• Turn off oven, place remaining 1 cup of shredded cheese on top and place back in oven to melt the cheese.
• Serve immediately when cheese is melted.
