SINGLE REVIEW: Little Man Tate – “The Agent”

Damn those Arctic Monkeys...

Just so you never have to read about Little Man Tate again, here’s a quick bluffers’ guide: blah blah blah, Sheffield…blah blah blah, songs from the streets…blah blah blah, heartfelt guitar noise. Sound familiar? Trouble is, indie noise can be so much more life affirming when it’s not accompanied by the sort of three-note non-chorus the Kaisers would have dreamed up when they were still in short trousers. Repetitive, derivative, and unimaginative, ‘The Agent’ is about as cutting edge as you’d expect from a band named after a Jodie Foster film.
