🍾 Budged grape wine
Finally got myself some grape juice, only sold in one store in town. Actual wine wine!
Ingredients:
- 1l 100% grape juice
- 0.5 cup of white sugar
- 0.5 cup of water
- 0.5 teaspoon of baking yeast
Method:
Pour juice in a 1.5l bottle, add sugar and shake till dissolved. Add water to top up, leave about 5cm headroom for the foam in first stage of fermenting. Add yeast and shake. Leave with loose lid in dark, warm area.
Conclusion:
It's reminiscent of wine, I tell you that. No real yeasty aftertaste, so that's great. Tastes somewhat sweet still and it definitely is stronger than a store-bought wine. Not by much but sure is. Yeah, I'm liking it. It cleared out nicely and I'm setting a bottle off for ageing, the other is almost empty already.
