how i use a computer
i have spent a lot of time on my computer. i'm not very good at using it, but i enjoy using it. it's close to spring now, and that gets me in the mood to write.
instead of going off on a rant about *why* i use what i do, i'll just have a list of things i use and if you want to know why i use x instead of y, email me!
- os: debian
- window manager: i3
- terminal: sakura
- multiplexor: tmux
- email: emacs rmail
- xmpp: gajim
- irc: irssi
- feeds: newsboat
- gemini browser: emacs elpher
- web browser: falkon
- editor: emacs, nano
a lot of this differs per machine. i have netbsd on one, parabola on another, and so forth, but if i were to install a new system, it would probably look something like this. i'm a simple person, and i have found some things that i like.
why am i talking about this, you ask? i don't know. maybe because i use them every day so i can't think of many other things to write about right now.
