What's in a Day?
Sleeping in - a bit, but not too much. A slow breakfast. Coffee. A walk with the dogs. 4 miles or so. A little less than two hours.
Coming home and taking a long shower, though not necessarily to get clean. Sex in the early afternoon. Another shower, as hot as we can stand. Downstairs to turn the kettle on. A pot of strong, black tea.
An hour on guitar to lose myself for a bit. Friends over later for supper. We order something in. Have beer and drinks. Board games, card games, crokinole. Laughter and talking and watching the evening dim. Tea for one particular friend: "lots of sugar, lots of milk". The rest of us drinking water after our beers. Have to watch out for hangovers. None of us young anymore.
The rest unspecified. An hour or two before we fall asleep. Do the dishes, let the dogs out, put them to bed, put ourselves to bed. Books and fresh sheets. Melatonin for the vivid dreams. Finally, sleep.
