Christina: five questions
1. What's your favourite item to cook in October?
Taking the definition of "cook" loosely: smoky black teas, and pumpkin chocolate chip loaf.
I haven't brewed in a couple of years now, but I used to like making porters in the fall to drink through winter.
2. What films have you watched over and over again?
At various times in my life:
- Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
- Robin Hood (Disney)
- 3 Ninjas (courtesy of my 10-years-younger brother, who loved it)
- Pi
- Six String Samurai
- Before Sunrise
- Before Sunset
3. Have you ever meditated for spiritual purposes? If yes, describe your experience.
No.
4. What objects from your childhood have you saved? Explain why.
I have almost nothing. After I finished my master's degree, I moved a lot. Across the country twice, and then again a month after I arrived in the city. I had very little money. I had to travel light.
I've got my small blue teddy ("larger than you were when you were born", my dad likes to remind me; I was very small, premature), a large picture my grandfather took of me when I was 1. And that's all. My parents have whatever's left.
5. When you feel sad, what do you do to find comfort?
I cuddle my dog. I play guitar. I walk till my legs hurt. I write poems about certain people and places, then cover my tracks.
