Blue Jays in ALCS :/

With Game 3 thumping of Mariners, the Blue Jays are right back in this ALCS

The emoticon in the title feels right - going down 2-0 in the first inning of game 3 (possibly sending an entire fanbase into despair), their pitching stabilized and the bats came alive. They hit five home runs, tied for the most in franchise postseason history, and ultimately won 13-4. A solid-to-good outing from Shane Bieber, but a four-hit night for Vladimir Guerrero Jr (including a triple short of the cycle, hitting a second double late in the game) feels like good news, as does every starting player in the Jays' lineup getting a hit. The kind of game you can't expect, but which this team always feels capable of. I'd predicted to my partner before the game that it'd be 7-3 Jays, no home runs. Right idea, kinda.

The Jays are still down, and the odds are still against them, but I guess things don't get serious until the home team finally wins. The road team has won every game so far.

Yesterday I wasn't feeling great, even with the game. The nagging pain in my ankle. It feels like it's getting a little better, but it makes it hard to focus on anything, to enjoy anything. Hopefully it'll be feeling better by the time I leave to go west next week.

I have a guitar lesson tonight while game 4 starts. I'll be missing a few innings. I could move my lesson, but meh. Going to practice before work and at lunch. Try to focus on that as much as I can.
