cn: Visuals

Most of the visual elements are controlled by variables in the configuration for default values and are toggleable. This is also used to implement a zen mode.

See the PREFERENCES section of the init.lua file or make use of the which-key menus with v.

That being said, some of them might require more explanation:

listchars (vl)

# listchars=eol:◀,tab:▷◁,extends:▶,trail:▭

To make my UI look more like the TRS 80 I have listchars turned on, it’s that triangle at the end of the line, it points to the left to show the edge, or it points to the right to show that there is more stuff when line wrap is turned off.

These also make it possible to see tabs vs spaces and trailing whitespace.
