THE EPO's staff has voted. The poll (or ballot) is now closed. We'll soon know if there's some industrial action, such as a strike. Quoting the organisers: "Thank you to all members who participated in the ballot. Your engagement and feedback are greatly appreciated. The results will be reviewed by the committee, and we will inform you as soon as the outcome is available."

such as a strike

The EPO had strikes under Benoît Battistelli. The same happened under António Campinos. They typically cite reasons other than European software patents and instead focus on other matters.

This is fine. We, in this site (Techrights), focus on a broader scope, such as the harms to Europe, not just to workers of the EPO.

The other day Techrights asked Europeans to use E-mail addresses to contact officials (Administrative Council members) and suggested things to tell them in their language. Quoting or paraphrasing associates, we wish allow readers to contact the representatives directly to express their concerns about the management of the European Patent Office.

Some of the addresses that we have gathered still need verification. Some photos are still missing, but maybe that will change. We published a similar gallery 4 years ago. That dealt with enablers of Battistelli.

"Last time we wrote that we had been unable to find photos for four alternate (deputy) representatives," someone told us. "In the meantime we located photographs for two of those individuals. 1) Albania: Gentiana BARDHI, Head of the Patent Sector at the General Directorate of Industrial Property; 2) North Macedonia: Luljeta RAMADANI, Head of IT at the State Office of Industrial Property. In the case of Gentiana Bardhi, it turns out that she attended the FUTURE2TECH Trade Fair for Innovation, Technology & Education held on 2nd - 3rd October 2025 at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana. There are photos published in Albanian media showing her participating in an event called "Generation Next – Innovate like AIE" hosted by Albania's Agency for Innovation and Excellence (AIE)."

"In the case of Luljeta RAMADANI it seems that she was formerly known under the name Luljeta DEARI. So in the end there are only two representative for whom no photos could be found. 1) Romania: Simona GEORGESCU, Director of the Economic Department of the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks. 2) Luxembourg: the mysterious Monsieur Claude Sahl."

Final versions of the EPO Administrative Council photo gallery, including E-mail addresses for contacting the representatives, are included again.
