Many thanks to our Spanish-speaking readers who took on our call for action. We now have some Spanish media contacting us and showing interest in EPO affairs. Maybe they can also take note of potential staff strikes. Time will tell... breaking the silence is crucial. There is a great deal of fear and such fear is inherently incompatible to a functioning democracy and free press (the latter is typically shouldered by functioning democracies and vice versa).

This afternoon we plan to encourage more of our readers to contact local (or national) journalists. Together, one can hope, we can take those scandals "mainstream" (where they belonged all along, if not for SLAPPs).

This afternoon's mini-campaign will come in 4 parts and be split apart depending mostly on locality, language, and media's vested interests that can corrupt journalism. █
