Twitter is a Catastrophe (Data Loss, Outdated Caching, Restoration From Backup, Bugs, or Whatever Else)

The days of this site are numbered, it's just losing money and causing problems

Twitter has been rebranded as X or X.com or whatever MElon fancies calling "his" company (which he merely took over, much like Tesla, to which he had contributed nothing but ridiculous lies).

Some time earlier this year I showed that many accounts in X or X.com were "losing" a ton of tweets or showing a ridiculously outdated snapshot of the data. Last week Clownflare took down X or X.com because... of course the "bald nazi" MElon cannot figure out how to run a Web company or a Web site that serves pages. It's too hard! He's too busy doing illegal drugs, impregnating "disposable" women, and making alliances with fascistic dictators.

Today I was surprised to find that somehow, some way (!), my Twitter account reverted back to a snapshot from about a decade ago, even with an old image, old description, and old "display name":

Whatever is going on at X or X.com is what Internet jargon dubs a "shitshow"; days ago there were reports about Twitter traffic collapsing, except perhaps for the niche pandering to fascistic dictators.

See, Twitter's (or X or X.com) competition isn't Facebook or Microsoft sites like LinkedIn; its rivals are sites like Gab or 'Truth' 'Social'. █
