Next Week We Launch Search at Techrights

The Web site of Techrights has had search since the very beginning (way back in 2006), but when we moved to the SSG to lessen our exposure to DDoS attacks we did not re-add search. We now have something mostly experimental - something that ought to restore a search functionality for all pages going back to 2006.

We're planning to launch it some time next week. Maybe Tuesday, maybe Thursday. Maybe something in-between. We hope to first audit (properly and independently) all the code for prudence and safety's sake. The functionality already works, but it was not stress-tested under the strain of bots. We don't want to compromise speed (time taken to deliver pages) just for a search facility. █
