I've been using Claude Code for work over the past few weeks. I've been a bit of a late entrant to the AI-powered software development.

It's honestly scary how much of my work it is able to do.

Been stressing out about job security and stuff.

What suggestions do you all have for me to be competitive i.e. employable in the near future?

I mean, just get really good at using Claude, and then you'll be more efficient than your coworkers who don't get as much practice with it. It's another tool, like being more experienced with the libraries you use or the language you're writing in.

Admittedly, it's a tool that's going to make one person able to do the jobs of several people, so I hope you get good with it before they start downsizing! :) · 6 months ago

been playing around with AI bots the last few weeks, and indeed it is scary how good that things work. played RPGs better than with human players. · 6 months ago

write code that deletes all AI everywhere, it's code and backups. Maybe a cgi script to also light on fire the servers where AI lives ... · 6 months ago
