Markdown is not so well-specified. Implementations tend to do slightly different things. I think gemtext being so simple was a good idea, actually. · 5 months ago
Gemtext-wise, what if we also use plain Markdown (i.e. no GitHub-flavoured, no HTML, no MathJax) as a standard markup language? · 6 months ago
Protocol:
Whatever's going on with the Scroll protocol right now would be good for Gemini
Gemtext:
More advanced formatting (e.g. bold, italic, colours without using ANSI escapes)
Clients:
Optional inline images by default

I'm on the boat of no new features as well. If there are upgrades to things under the hood like dsilverz mentioned, or security updates, etc, that's probably ok. But I wouldn't want to make gemtext any more complex than it already is. · 6 months ago
I wouldn't add anything else. It is fine the way it is. Because if you add more features, when and where should we stop adding them? · 6 months ago
dsilverz is spot on. · 6 months ago
Nested bullets and numbered lists · 6 months ago
I'd love to have inline links, bold, italic, underline and strikethrough · 6 months ago
think it's fine the way it is. but the cert management could be a bit improved. · 6 months ago
