@half_elf_monk There are many techniques various people try, beyond just the natural in/out we all do from birth. My point is that breathing is something we can improve beyond the baseline we all have, and it unlocks a lot of benefits (oxygen solves a lot of problems). · 5 months ago
It is so true nor a common knowledge that an Italian gymnast named Yuri Chechi discovered how to breath after taking Yoga classes. But before he went to Olympics, so he breath badly during excercises in a sort of apnea and presumibly underperform for that. He talks about this in his book about calisthenics. In mountain bike, e.g. downhill, breathing bad can cause headhaches, the sort of thing you don't in contexts where reflexes are relevant. · 5 months ago
