My hope is that Esperanto will be a component of building a United Earth, from the bottom up rather than the top down. I suspect we're going to need some sort of democratic socialist global society. They've tried uniting the world the top-down way. The League of Nations failed utterly, and the UN is kinda a joke when it has been needed most. Get everyone talking to one another in a language that doesn't have national or ethnic baggage, and we'll realize just how much we have in common. · 11 months ago
