One thing I hate about snaps: They update packages WAY to silently. Brave is updating and there is no indication of it other than the snap list shows as disabled. Or am I missing something?

I use Flatpaks myself, and there at least I still have to update Brave manually. I'm using Steam Deck OS (Arch), and I think the only thing that updates outside of Flatpak on the system is the Steam client. I personally prefer pacman/yay, but this system seems to work well. · 2 years ago
