thinking about projects I wanna start after my move and homebrew 16 bit game console is at the top of the list: a 65816 CPU at the heart of it and maybe some kind of coprocessor for fancy DMA effects?

I might just use the same FPGA and forth firmware as the Gameduino 1 (which I used to have but is now long lost).

I don't usually do hardware so if anyone can point me to what hardware I need for sprites/backgrounds I'd appreciate it · 3 years ago
