My TTRPG group is planning on doing a Dune-ey space opera campaign and I'm drawing a blank on what sort of character to make. Ideally it'd be someone more peripheral to any spice conflicts, more of a typical spacer archetype. Any ideas, chat?

@bavarianbarbarian Cool that you have a sorta character you really like ^_^ I don't think we're using a system with a Monk class though. Also I'm pretty sure we're going to go for more of a thematic roleplay sorta campaign more than a fight-everything one, if that makes sense. · 6 months ago
well, for i and a friend of mine have written our own RPG system, maybe i could help a little bit. it makes a lot of fun to play an underestmated char like an old monk who turns out to be an retired master of battle who has sworn never to touch a sword anymore and is collecting herbs and is a healer now. but when the fight is getting hot.... the old man reveals his figthing skills and hell breaks loose for he is an peaceful battlemage/fire elemental who just wanted to have a peaceful life. leave him alone or suffer from the consequences... · 6 months ago
