I feel grateful that the Gemini Protocol exists. It brings me joy that there's a community that values a calmer and more intentional internet. I feel like I've been searching for something like this for a long time and I'm happy I've finally found it. Thanks to everyone who's contributed to the smol web. It's a miracle that it exists.

@adamdh The protocol itself was created in 2019. We are looking at a protocol that is already finalized (in theory, development is already complete) but is still relatively unknown. Let's say we are looking at a relatively young protocol 🙂 · 2 months ago

it's not the only such internet. people still use irc and ssh chat too (seen even active telnet one) bbses are active. also gopher, tor and few others. not saying about the whole big smallweb movement on normal "https" too (see neocities page). enjoy :) · 2 months ago
