My first hour in gemini space is passed; it's not that smooth as I expected

The first contact with Gemini is complex, and the initial shock is evident. But as you explore, discover new places, and, as in my case, use the built-in translator to overcome the language barrier, you will see that there are amazing things. Ideally, at least from my point of view, you should add a search engine such as Kennedy (it's not the only one) and start browsing. Another thing that can work well is to use “user banks” such as Lupa Database, Tilde Pink, Yestercities, or Discogem, to name a few examples. Take it easy and be patient; you can't reach the top of the mountain in just one hour 🙂 · 3 months ago

Yes. It's mostly rediscovery, of a type of person like myself and social structures. For a somewhat concrete example, much of the creativity I expressed as a child was in developing and running a shared scifi world with strangers online. It helped me integrate the overwhelming explosion of information the internet offered me. Seeing something like gemini://cosmic.voyage/ takes me back to that. For now, I need to let things out of my head, not in. · 3 months ago

Sounds like a cool approach. Have you found anything that you consider really interesting? · 3 months ago

Part of the fun for me is in that self-driven exploration. I find it interesting so many pixels were lit on putting control in the hands of the reader, but many people are relying on centralized aggregators curated by others by who knows what standards. I don't think I care much about what someone writes if I'm not pulling it up myself through search, history, bookmark, or labyrinthine links paths. · 3 months ago

I didn’t find any good aggregator yet, but I found out that there are a lot of abandoned blogs; maybe it just takes more time to explore. · 3 months ago
