[4] i’m going to go ahead and be the odd one out here, only because I don’t really know what would constitute as something that’d be called a “shitpost” around here. i wonder if that includes just simple blog like reports of the day, or purely down to low common denominator type “lulz so randum xD” posting. Either way, this is all just a long drawn out way of saying whatever anyone post don’t affect me. It’d be cool to be able to filter posts with some kinda tagging, but then that’d defeat the point of this whole page and it’s minimalism. Is this response shitposting? 🤔😵‍💫 · 3 years ago

[2] It boils down to how "shitposting" is defined, but I thing the slow, almost personal feed on Station is not the right place for whatever a good faith definition might be. That said, shitposting in all it's forms is IMHO a core part of the internet culture, so I don't see why should not be reflected (maybe in different forms) in Geminispace. · 3 years ago

It probably would be best to have a separate gemini service for shitposts if people want that though, so maybe [2] after all. I wonder how Station handles voting for multiple options in polls. · 3 years ago

Hard to say. Some people use the term to mean basically any funny post which I think is fine, but often it can also amount to just spam. As long as it's actually funny and not spammy I suppose [4] · 3 years ago
