I REMEMBER NOW. The reason I got an LG V30 was to use with my new car stereo: a SDcard in a car stereo is actually pretty shit. It is impossible to pick anything, it's just one long list of folders until it starts over. This is most annoying; especially since 128mb can be a lot of music- discography's can be an even bigger slog to skip though (I'm not pointing the finger but I am pointing a finger at Funkadelic and Prince).
So I though a cheap phone and bluetooth would be a less annoying option.. AND LO IT CAME TO THE PASSAGE!
It's a bit old school, you pick an album and hit play. It's like putting a record on but you don't have to get up halfway through; I went straight from vinyl to minidisc/digital at the same time. Sony minidisc player, Sony portable minidisc player and a fourtrack minidisc PORTASTUDIO (all in fanboy) b4 that was even a thing. Digital was too rudimentary at the time, the mp3 codec's had to be stolen for most to use it. Somehow I skipped CD's. Anyway, having a dedicated mp3 player in the shape of a phone is awesome and rather than just opening a terminal and typing "dz" (dronezone) I can pick one of the many albums I've either never heard, hardly played or over-play.
Blade Runner soundtracks don't count as over-played, it's impossible to over-play a Blade Runner OST.
At least I'm not listening to Drone-Zone perpetually.
This *ucking phome anyway! LG V30, it's rated. IT'S GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO PLAY YOUR SHIT. So I brought one for 60 quid. Kindof a bargain until I tried to reinstall the OS only to find it defaulted to Korean. I was PUCE so I sent it back, or so I thought for a few minutes'. I'd actually posted it back to some random ebay seller. I had two QR codes on my phone, one from a year ago that was never used and one from the seller of the phone. By the time I rushed back to the Postoffice to retrive my wayward device it had been bagged-up ready to leave :-( Two weeks later the phone turned up back with me but the window for sending it back had gone.
The upshot of this gibberish is that now I'm stuck with a Korean LG V30 with all the associated bloatwear that comes with any GOOGLE phone and although you can disable a bunch of stuff it's just not the same as Nuking it! You see the Korean variant is harder to hack (What a shocker) seems like someone knew?.
In the mean time/ whist I was waiting for the OG phones return I brought one for twenty quid, it had a damaged screen but worked and wasn't Korean. THAT PHONE NEVER ARRIVED, I doubt it was ever sent concidering the day after they had ones on sale in worse condition for more money. I think someone got greedy or they sold it in their bricks and morta b4...
