C        F      G7              C     F  G    C
Unto the hills around do I lift up my longing eyes.
C            F        G7           C          F      G C
O whence for me shall my salvation come, from whence arise?
G             G7         C       G       C
From God, the LORD, doth come my certain aid;
     F        C         F          G          C
From God, the LORD, who heav’n and earth hath made.

C           F      G7               C           F     G    C
He will not suffer that thy foot be moved: safe shalt thou be.
C           F       G7                C          F  G    C
No careless slumber shall His eyelids close, who keepeth thee.
G          G7       C       G          C
Behold, He sleepeth not, He slumbereth ne’er
    F       C      F      G    C
Who keepeth Israel in His holy care.

C       F     G7              C         F     G    C
Jehovah is Himself thy keeper true, thy changeless shade;
C       F     G7                 C       F    G    C
Jehovah thy defense on thy right hand Himself hath made.
G           G7     C         G    C
And thee no sun by day shall ever smite;
    F          C         F      G      C
Nor moon shall harm thee in the silent night.

C          F    G7                C          F  G  C
From every evil shall He keep thy soul, from every sin;
C       F        G7              C        F G    C
Jehovah shall preserve thy going out, thy coming in.
G          G7        C       G    C
Above thee watching, He whom we adore
      F         C           F       G    C
Shall keep thee henceforth, yea, forevermore.
