Talk about research he's doing along with Nada Amin. This was one of the talks I was most excited about! But in the end it wasn't as exciting as that. :'(

- McCarthy, "Programs with Common Sense"
Describes how a program may improve by accepting advice from another program that may "understand" the problem at hand. Some of the wishful features are that a common-sensical program may improve through advice, and also improve the process of improvement.
- Jon Doyle, "Reflexive Interpreters"
- Gerald Jay Sussman, "A Computational Model of Skill Acquisition"
- Marvin Minsky, "The Society of Mind"
- "A Unified Approach to Solving 7 Programming Problems"
- Barliman "smart" editor -- the thing he's worked on that has some program synthesis capabilities through miniKanren
- Chris Hanson, Gerald Jay Sussman, "Software Design for Flexibility"
I saw a bookmark for jisho.org -- does William Byrd speak/study 日本語? :o
