Another viewing opportunity. As much as I love the moon, I wished that it was below the horizon so I could view some galaxies! But beggars can’t be choosers.

There were an innumerable amount of craters in this area. It was overwhelming. In hindsight I should of focused on a smaller area and attempted to get as much detail as possible.

In this sketch Gemma Frisius represents the smaller cluster of three craters near the top (to the north). The northern walls of Frisius were interesting as they appeared to look cracked and jagged. I tried to show this in the sketch as it was very apparent through the FoV.

The large crater just below Gemma Frisius is Maurolycus. This appeared to have a small peak in the center with an overlapping set of smaller craters to the north that formed the shape of a cross.
