Another beautiful night. A bit of turbulence in the air helped govern my decision for the target to be something I can observe with a wide-field view. The Rosette Nebula (and NGC 2244 within) would be a perfect choice.

- RaDec: 06h32m +4.51
- Type: Open Cluster
- Class: I 2 m n
- Target: NGC 2237, Rosette
- Const: Monoceros

- Type: Nebula
- Scope: AT102ED
- Setting: 26x, Ultrablock Filter
It took 15 minutes of patient observation before the nebula really became visible. This is a much better observation than the first time (2024-03-09) where the nebula stretched across the entire FoV. This time it is framed nicely and I can see clearly where the nebula begins and ends.
NGC 2244 is sitting neatly in the center with it’s distinct rectangular-like appearance. The glow of the nebula was more intense in the area surrounding NGC 2244, but I did occasionally get glimpses of the nebula behind NGC 2244 as well.
