My baseline

I am most closely aligned with pirate parties. I believe culture ought to be free (as in speech, not as in beer) like Lawrence Lessig wrote about in Free Culture. My primary issue as a voter is democratic reform because I believe the intrinsic goodness of humanity has reached the limits of its social technologies and upgrading the systemic kernel of the latter is the surest way to secure greater eudaimonic gains. There are many other issues I think are more important (such as material equality or enivronmentalism), but I believe they come later in sequence given present conditions. In more familiar terms, I am a social democrat, or even more broadly, a liberal, but those labels are positively ancient at this point and susceptible to the misinterpretation warned of above. I am an American and world federalist and human who believes all sentient beings should be happy. I have a fairly Rawlsian sense of justice. I am probably subconsciously difficult to move on any of this but, at least consciously, I am open to changing any of it.
